Onward and Upward: A Purposeful Move for The Home Sales Team

As a Realtor, I should not let you in on a little secret….but here it goes: Moving sucks!! Having to pick up everything you own and take it from one place to the next is awful. The end result is worth the hassle. We at The Home Sales Team are in the process of experiencing the joys and pain of moving as we move back into the mothership of Keller Williams Realty at 1320 McCarthy Blvd. We are super excited about this move and want everyone to be able to find us.

In life it is great to be a part of something bigger than oneself. The Home Sales Team has remained part of the largest company in our area and North America, Keller Williams Realty, since 2010. We have enjoyed having our own office space over this time as it has given us space and opportunity to spread our wings. It has also given me a great tax write off by playing the investment in real estate game, since I own the building outright on Trent Blvd! However, the time has come for us to form like Optimus Prime and reconnect with the force that is Keller Williams Realty. Keller Williams Realty is known throughout the real estate industry for the number of homes we sell, the excellent training that is continuously provided, and the opportunity for growth. The Home Sales Team, being off site these last 5 years, has missed being able to collaborate with other top agents as often, as well as the opportunity to find new agents to continue to grow. We have thrived in the number of homes we sell, even in the tougher markets as we have the dedication and experience of great agents on The Team. Therefore, we have decided to move back to the main Keller Williams Realty office to allow us to focus on growth of ourselves to better serve you.

The local real estate market remains steady as we have put thirteen homes under contract in the last 2 weeks. I mention this just to squash anything our competition may try to say. This move is not based off the real estate market being slow or us not selling homes. We are not being evicted from the building that I have no mortgage on and will be looking for a tenant to occupy. This move is solely based on the opportunity of growth, collaboration, and bigger goals. By moving, we do not have to deal with petty things like taking out the trash and can focus on taking buyers to see property. We do not have to concern ourselves with paper towels and can concentrate on getting offers on paper for our clients.

At my church, Port City Community Church, we pick one word each year instead of making New Years resolutions. This year our Team’s word is purposeful and my word is simplify. The Home Sales Team wants to be purposeful with our time and resources to ensure we can help buyers and sellers at the highest possible level. By simplifying our office space, it also allows me to add another rental to my portfolio which helps me reach my goals as well. In focusing on our words, this gives us a lens we are making decisions through, so it is with purpose that we are making this move. The Home Sales Team will still be here to help you with buying, selling, and investing in real estate. We will be here with recommendations for work around the house if you would like trusted referrals. The Home Sales Team will also continue to give back to our community through our volunteer efforts that we do with RCS, adopt of highway trash pickup along Trent Blvd and supporting different organizations such as Partners in Education’s Stuff the Bus, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the USMC Toys for Tots. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next client event with the New Bern Southpaws and are here for you if we can do anything in the meantime. The only thing changing is where you visit us if you want to stop by the office, which we hope you will still do!
